Welcome to the Rosscairn Hotel.

Rosscairn is a small family run Victorian house hotel, strictly non-smoking, with the emphasis on peace and tranquility. With only seven bedrooms, (3 twin; 2 double; 2 family rooms) guests can always be assured of our personal attention, that's why so many return, as friends, year upon year.
The hotel is situated within large mature gardens with ample private parking, in a quiet residential area of Kirn which is approximately one and a half miles from the centre of Dunoon. Our bright spacious dining room overlooks the adjacent Cowal golf course and surrounding hills. Delicious meals are prepared using the finest local produce, including fresh Scottish beef, fish and vegetables. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for with imagination.
We offer a choice of menu which changes daily and our evening
dinner consists of four courses plus coffee. For breakfast choose
from the range of continental to full traditional. We have chosen
to be an unlicensed hotel, much to the delight of our returning
guests who often provide their own wine.

The hotel is centrally
heated throughout for all season comfort.
There are two lounges both comfortably furnished and equipped with colour
television and video.
We also have a wide range of books and games available for your
enjoyment

Our quiet well-appointed en-suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated and all have tea / coffee facilities and radio alarms. Most offer spectacular views over the golf course to the Cowal Hills.

The Hotel is only yards away from the 18 hole Cowal golf course and both indoor and outdoor bowling greens. Within easy reach there are two 9 hole golf courses offering panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde, where clear waters draw water sport enthusiasts from afar.

We have the angler's
dream with a variety of lochs and rivers offering excellent
sport. The whole area is a paradise for walkers and ramblers with
the Argyll forests containing countless scenic trails. Tour the
Cowal Penninsula by car and you will quickly realise how
uncluttered the roads are.

Go back in time and visit the award winning Inveraray Jail or Auchindrain Old West Highland Township. A delight for children and adults alike are the Argyll Wildlife Park and Cowal Bird Garden.

Take a leisurely stroll through the Younger Botanic Garden at Benmore with its world famous conifers and riot of colour throughout the year.
Whatever your choice,
Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula have something for everyone.
Located in the south-west of the Scottish Highlands, Dunoon is
only 27 miles from Glasgow where a wealth of excellent galleries, museums, shopping
centres and entertainment await the day visitor.
Rosscairn is ideally situated to explore Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula which, as the travel books say, really is Scotland's best kept secret. Why not share it with us?
